WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN

A semi swerves. Suddenly,
We’re face-to-face, in my lane.
A dozen scenarios
Run through my mind;
Weighing my options.
Though it seems like forever,
It’s a flash. And just like that,
It’s over.

wow, what an intense moment…
It certainly was. It happened many years ago, but the memory sure stuck. It truly felt like I had all the time in the world to weigh my options, though it was only a moment in time and he corrected before we hit. Yikes! 🙂
