UNWANTED (Sonnetina Tre for an unplanned child)
by Marie Elena
A life that’s wanted is a life that’s life.
Unwanted life? Disposable tissue.
So at what point does life become a life?
Unplanned or planned – too often the issue.
The silent scream of babies ripped apart
Is deafening to me – I can’t be still
And not express what grieves my beating heart
While theirs are halted at another’s will.
What right have we to turn a woman’s womb
Into an unplanned baby’s living tomb?

It is heart-wrenching and a stand I have to make also.
So, so disturbing and sad.
Just wondering, Marie. I would like to share this — it is so well written. But the credit and copyright year… do I make it 2016 instead of your 2017?
HA! Typo! Yes please, and thank you so much for your always kind words about my words. 🙂
Thank you. A tough one to write, and a heart wrenching topic. Not one I can reasonably discuss, honestly.
Heart wrenching sums up so sadly well.
Thank you, sweet friend.
